Consumerism:

A NEW RELIGION 

A photographic series presenting the notion that consumerism and capitalist

ideologies are so powerful in our society that they become a dominating ‘new religion’ that sells society different commodities and fantasies in order lead us into temptation.

 

The series explores biblical vs consumerist ideology, the power of

advertising and the commercialisation of goods, technology, sexual desire, celebrity status, ones worth and ultimately religion itself.

HARASSMENT©

A photography series which highlights the use of objectification and female subordination in fashion advertisements, bringing forward the wider real world consequences regarding  sexual harassment and the seemingly blasé attitude towards it, that these types of images project. Thus, making the images reflect contemporary patriarchal society on the whole.

Stylised as advertisements for a fashion

brand entitled: HARASSMENT©, presenting varying degrees of sexual

harassment, misconduct and assault to the viewer.
